"Great Blog, to funny, and OMG The drive thru story had me RFLMAO. Loved it. The links all seemed to open quickly and easily and it reads and navigates well. Great color not overbearing. The site is very well put together and just plain great. Thank you Leila"

"I really like the Cookie Lee information as I was considering becoming a consultant at one point. Great site, good writing."

"Fabulous site! I love the light-hearted humor without being overly cheesy. The color scheme is very nice, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the logo graphic. All in all, this is a really great site, you're doing a great job! Keep the crockpot going!"

"I gotta hand it to you . . . you are a swell chic. Impressed by your honest and sound advice is what I was when I read your responses to those seeking your advice. You have a lovely family and, of course, you are a very attractive woman. Keep up the good work, fresh content is the key to any well ran website. Good job."

Thinking Pink for October

I’m a lucky girl.

I’m lucky because I’ve been blessed with a wonderful husband, two beautiful boys, and I come from a huge loving family. I’ve got four brothers and three sisters, and what seem to now be countless nieces and nephews. I’ve even got a great best friend who puts up with a lot of my shit.

I’m lucky because I have my health. Neither I nor any of the women in my family have had to face the fight against breast cancer. A fascinating statistic, considering how many of us as there are.

So I’m going pink this month in honor of those who aren’t so lucky.

This is for those women–the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, nieces, and best friends–who go into battle against a horrible disease with their heads held up and their swords held high. For those who keep smiling even though their bodies are screaming out in pain. For those who won and got to move on with their lives. And for those who eventually lost the battle.

Here’s a comic reminder. After all, October is Breast Health Awareness Month. Mammograms matter!

  2. That is hillarious! Thank you for the comment and the link.
