I Need a Vacation!

My BFF just got back from Hawaii, and man–am I JEALOUS! She returned looking relaxed and with tons of beautiful pictures. (She was also texting me from the comfort of her lanai during the storms last week!)

So, I decided to do some looking around for a vacation of my own. (Or “our” own, because I can’t leave my boys at home.) (Not that there would be anything wrong with that.)

Since I’ll be traveling with my family, I’ll be looking into a condo or vacation rental. I’ve traveled with kids before, and I found that using a rental instead of a hotel room saved us tons of money and seemed more enjoyable than a stuffy hotel room.

And apparently, according to Hawaii Travel Blog, this is actually becoming a trend.

It doesn’t take long to find out why: most hotels anywhere near the beach are costly. Then there’s the cost of eating out for every meal. Add that to the cost of any day trips you take, and you could be out some seriously big bucks.

Vacationers are also steering away from commercial hotels because they’ve become impersonal and are overcrowding the beaches. I myself wouldn’t want to be fighting for a spot on the beach all week.

Furthermore, if you’re looking for a romantic getaway and want to stay in a more secluded area, you can find a lot more vacation rentals to choose from than hotels. This type of travel also suits those who want to do more hiking than sunbathing and are looking for a place to stay near the trails.

To me, a vacation villa is the perfect choice for the family vacation to Hawaii.
