Oh NO They DI’N’T!: Craigslist Ad Deleted

Yesterday I posted my Open Letter to Child Care Providers on Craigslist here on my blog and on to my local Craigslist board. And apparently, I’ve pissed a few people off.

Because today, I received an e-mail from the Craigslist moderator stating that my ad (which was the “Open Letter”) was flagged and removed.

Was I mean? Not really. If anything, I was “mildly insulting,” and I’d hoped to open a few eyes. But some must have thought it derogatory and cause for deletion.

I guess the truth hurts, doesn’t it? It hurts so much that those who I stung commiserated, flagged me, and got me removed.

They must not have children of their own to care about. But I do, and that scares the crap out of me, since I could be interviewing one of these insolents as a potential provider for Ben.

God help me!

  1. You have the right to do anything to look after the safety of your own children.

  2. I find myself quite annoyed. Obviously there are some who are content to remain uneducated. I honestly thought they would all go to a few self improvement classes. *sigh* It was a great letter…truthful, to the point and should have been taken to heart.

  3. Fashion Paramedic My Dear,

I showed your letter to my mom, who at one time ran a day care center for the children of a school’s employees and she applauded you and wanted me to tell you that she wishes she could give you a hug for being who you are.

Having had worked with children & adults at this particular school myself, I too believe that you are the kind of person this world needs more of and your children are fortunate to have a mother who not only has a very excellently functioning brain, but a loving, caring heart and soul as well. 🙂
